I recently went on a Colonial Tours Peru trip on February 20, 2024, and it was a great experience overall. The tour focused on exploring Peru’s colonial history, with visits to key sites in Arequipa and Trujillo.
Highlights:
In Arequipa, we visited the Santa Catalina Monastery, which was beautiful and full of history. The guide did an excellent job explaining its significance. In Trujillo, we toured the ancient city of Chan Chan, which was fascinating to see up close.
Organization:
The tour was well-organized, with everything running smoothly from start to finish. Transportation was comfortable, and the tour guides were knowledgeable and friendly, making sure we understood the history behind each location.
Accommodations and Meals:
The hotels were comfortable and conveniently located. The meals included in the tour were tasty, giving us a good taste of local cuisine.
Overall:
This tour is perfect if you’re interested in Peru’s history and want a well-organized, enjoyable trip. The pace was good, though it might feel a bit fast if you like to linger longer at each site. Overall, I’d recommend it for anyone wanting to explore Peru’s colonial past.
